Electric Arc Furnace - SPARES

Water Cooled Bottom Shell Panels

Water-cooled bottom shell panels in Electric Arc Furnaces (EAFs) are critical components designed to manage extreme heat, reduce refractory consumption, and enhance structural durability. These panels, often made from carbon steel or copper, are used in the lower vessel to improve thermal efficiency, enabling higher charge rates and reduced downtime

Water Cooled Roof Panels

Water-cooled bottom shell panels in Electric Arc Furnaces (EAFs) are critical components designed to manage extreme heat, reduce refractory consumption, and enhance structural durability. These panels, often made from carbon steel or copper, are used in the lower Shell to improve thermal efficiency, enabling higher charge rates and reduced downtime.

Fume Extraction Roof Elbow

Fume extraction roof elbows are industrial duct components used in ventilation systems to safely remove hot gases and fumes from steel plants. Built with durable materials like stainless steel and ASTM 106GrB, they are designed to withstand high temperatures and ensure safe air quality

Delta/Center Ring

The EAF Delta (or center ring/roof) is a critical, highly stressed, central, and removable section of an Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) roof, specifically designed to withstand extreme temperatures (>1700°C), severe thermal shock, and chemical erosion around the graphite electrodes.

TOP SHELL RING

Furnace shell is defined as a structural component of an electric furnace, typically made from steel, that forms part of the furnace body and supports the overall structure while containing the high-temperature processes occurring within.

BOTTOM SHELL

An Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) bottom shell is the robust lower structural section of an electric arc furnace. It serves as the foundation that supports the hearth refractories while containing molten steel and slag during steelmaking operations.

Water-cooled exhaust duct for a plant in the INDIA

Production of a water-cooled exhaust duct for a plant in the USA. Measuring 70 m long, the total system was produced pipe-by-pipe using redirection caps. The pipes were welded together longitudinally in pairs. Altogether, around 60 pipes with a combined length of approximately 11 km were installed.

Water Cooled Ducting

Advanced water-cooled duct systems for AOD and EAF applications efficiently manage extreme heat by cooling fumes and flue gases. They enhance safety, protect equipment, improve process efficiency, and support environmental compliance through better emission control.

Scrap Charging Buckets

Scrap Charging Buckets

A scrap charging bucket is a heavy-duty industrial container used primarily in steel plants and foundries to transport and load scrap metal into furnaces. These buckets are engineered to withstand extreme temperatures and heavy mechanical loads while ensuring an even distribution of scrap for efficient melting.

LF furnace

LRF / BOF Furnace

A ladle furnace (LF), or ladle refining furnace (LRF), is a critical secondary metallurgy unit placed between primary steelmaking (EAF/BOF) and continuous casting. It refines, homogenizes, and heats molten steel using graphite electrodes, argon stirring, and alloy additions, allowing for precise temperature control, desulfurization, and high-quality alloy production.

Ladle/Scrap Charging Bucket Transfer Cars

Ladle transfer cars are heavy-duty, rail-mounted transport systems used in steel plants and foundries to move molten metal ladles—often weighing several hundred tons—between production stages. These cars are critical links between primary melting units such as an Electric arc furnace or Basic oxygen furnace, secondary refining units like a Ladle furnace, and the continuous casting area.  They feature high heat resistance, precise positioning, safety mechanisms, and options for self-propulsion (battery, cable) or tilting/weighing functions.

Fume Extraction System

Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) Fume Extraction Systems (FES) are critical, high-temperature air pollution control systems designed to capture hazardous emissions, fumes, and dust from melting operations. They combine primary (4th hole extraction) and secondary (canopy/roof hood) systems to achieve high-efficiency filtration (over 99% or up to 2 mg/Nm³) using water-cooled ducts, gas coolers, and pulse-jet baghouses.

Ladle

In metallurgy, a ladle is a bucket-shaped container or vessel used to transport and pour out molten metals. Ladles are often used in foundries and SMS Plant.

Casting ladle

A ladle used to pour molten metal into moulds to produce the casting.

Transfer ladle

A ladle used to transfer a large amount of molten metal from one process to another. Typically a transfer ladle will be used to transfer molten metal from a primary melting furnace to either a holding furnace or an auto-pour unit.

Treatment ladle

A ladle used for a process to take place within the ladle to change some aspect of the molten metal. A typical example being to convert cast iron to ductile iron by the addition of various elements into the ladle.
